Well I was out at Crocodile Rock for the first time the other night. I've always been meaning to go but either the line was too long or another club was on the list. I've heard quite a bit about this place from friends. So my partner and I decided to hit it on a Sunday night where we figured we didn't have to deal with all that drama of a long line up and the rowdy crowd. We got there a hour before club time which means "11pm" and it was a good thing too because we got to explore the floors before it got crowded, because when 11pm came-it was packing! I got a chance to talk to the bartender downstairs and got an idea from him on what it usually was like at Croc'Rock. The DJ in the beginning in my opinion sucked ass because he couldn't read the crowd at all. He was playing good jams at first when we got there but the moment people started coming in, he started to play pop house. WTF are you serious? Britney Spears Baby one more time? TLC Scrubs? I felt like I was back in my middle school dance. Anyways, my partner finally runs upstairs and tells the Dj to please play some soca or reggae! I wasn't sure if the Dj was going to or not knowing most of the times in the clubs they always ignore requests or suggestions. But thankfully this guy turned over and finally played some music that we could dance to!
The music after that was awesome throughout the night! We danced our asses off! I probably had over $100 worth of shots but nothing was making me buzz, I was starting to think the bartender was cheating me! We spent most of our night on the main floor where the crowd seemed like a 28+ but also because upstairs was packed. I also have to tell you that Croc'Rock is definitely not a scene for 18/19 yr olds hitting the clubs-it's definitely more of a mature crowd especially a place where you'll find plenty of cougars, which on this night were all extremely hot!lol!Well I had my fun and the night was definitely awesome!
