All down Church st. are full of clubs geared towards gay and tran-sexual men. But then there's Slacks!- a place specifically geared towards lesbians and all women. I love this place! During the day Slacks operates as any usual dining restuarant then in the night on weekdays they have local artists and musicians come in to perform. The best nights though are Fridays and Saturdays when we also get the S-Word Girls there.
When this restaurants turns into a club with blasting music and the waitresses get up on the bars and becomes coyotes! The DJs spin records that you'll love having a psychedelic dance to! Like I said, this is an all women's club with the rules that men are only allowed in if he is with and is invited by a girl. But still you'd rarely find any guys in there anyways-probably just 2 or 3 whose always intimidated and hidden in the background with the girl friends who dragged them to the club. The bouncer is even more awesome! She's this very butch thing with tattoos all over her neck and body. Then when you get inside-it's packed as hell but everyone is also loving as hell. No pushing or shoving at all-love it! I literally can get high just by being there and dancing. The place is great, the people are great and the music is awesome! PLUS no cover!!!
