Straight up- "The Girlfriend Experience" was excruciating to watch. It was slow..too slow and the story line didn't even pick up until 45-50mins. in. Not only was it going at a snail's pace but it was also like watching a silent movie. There was barely any background music to even help set the mood of the scenes. Sasha Grey's performance was unbearable. It was like watching a robot act. However Chris Santos's performance was actually really good. Having just watched "The Necessities of Life" last week also put out my Mongrel Media which was exceptionally and beautifully filmed-"The Girfriend Experience" however was a great disappointment. If your looking for a film that actually details the escort lifestyle-this was not it! I would recommend "The Red Light District" or "Born into Brothels" -also by Mongrel Media! 2/5
